the point was really that there are fundamental ideas in Christianity that any Christian must believe to be called a Christian. Ideas like: Jesus died on the cross Jesus rose from the dead Jesus taught that He was God That, because the penalty of sin was meeted out at the cross, we can be forgiven as we turn away from sin and welcomed into heaven. That Mary was a virgin before and until Jesus was born(which is impossible unless God made Her pregnant miraculously) and some other important, true facts.
We had fun discussing this. and these ideas call on our mental facilities to understand and agree.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes by the word of Christ.
